I will say, though. The one who did this is no different from those gnomes. For them to go out of their way to gift me this specifically must mean that they hate humans from the bottom of their heart. And that does remind me of a couple of people here.
That's... kind of surprising to hear, given what we were all brought here to do in the first place. But I guess hating something doesn't necessarily stop people from participating in it.

We were essentially kidnapped to do their bidding, Dante. There wasn't even a contract to sign when you first get here, unlike most negotiations in the City. Not everyone's going to be thrilled with the job of "saving humanity" in another world.
